Binh Duong continues to attain many important results

On June 1, at the Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to provide information on the socio-economic situation in July 2022. Nguyen Tam Duong, Office Chief of the Provincial People's Committee; and Le Tuan Anh, Director of the Provincial Department of Information and Communications, chaired the press conference.

According to the report, in July 2022, the province's industrial production index is estimated to increase by 4.7% over the previous month and 22.3% over the same period in 2021; over the 7 months, industrial production index increased by 8.4% over the same period in 2021. The province's total retail sales of goods and services in July is estimated to increase by 3% over the previous month and by 45.3% over the same period in 2021. Export turnover in July was estimated at US$3 billion 598 million, up 16.6% over the previous month. In the half of July, the whole province attracted VND 6,653 billion of domestic investment capital, accumulated over 7 months 2022 VND 45,048 billion; Foreign investment as of July 15 attracted US$ 17 million, accumulated over 7 months US$ 2 billion 544 million, up 74% over the same period in 2021.

At the press conference, Doan Van Thanh, Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee said: Under the current conditions, the province has decided not to increase tuition fees and service fees at all levels of education. Previously, in May 2022, the Provincial People's Committee published a draft resolution stipulating tuition fee for the 2022-2023 school year for public preschool and public general education institutions in the province. Accordingly, the tuition fee suggested was three times higher than that of the 2021-2022 school year. However, while people's lives are affected by the Covid-19 and the high commodity prices, Provincial People's Committee decided not to increase tuition fees and service fees for all education levels in the academic year 2022-2023.

Speaking at the press conference, Nguyen Tam Duong emphasized that in the coming time, the province would continue to strengthen solutions to overcome the problems raised by press agencies.
