On the evening of March 3, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee had a meeting with leaders of Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau about the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No.24 and the Government's Resolution No.154 on socio-economic development and national defense-security assurance in the Southeast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045; the implementation of traffic projects connecting Binh Duong province with localities in the region at provincial Integrated Administration Center. The event was attended by Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh city’s People's Committee; Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial People's Committee.
At the meeting, Mr. Minh informed delegates of the implementation progress of a number of traffic projects connecting Binh Duong province with localities in the region such as the belt road 3, belt road 4, etc., some issues on developing high-quality human resources, making digital transformation. Speaking at the meeting, leaders of the localities agreed to work closely together to deploy inter-regional routes and each locality's traffic routes that have an impact on the region. The development of traffic system will create a driving force to promote other socio-economic fields. The localities also exchanged and proposed specific solutions related to traffic connection nodes in the region while discussing training on human resources for digital transformation, riverside planning, etc.
Mr. Mai said that every quarter, the provinces should work together once, with focus on railway development, digital transformation, regional health and riverside planning. Ho Chi Minh city will assign departments and sectors to focus on researching the above issues. Regarding the implementation of Resolution No. 24, according to him, the projects assigned by each locality have an impact on regional development. He suggested the provinces to exchange and consult each other; establish a regional traffic development fund; have coordination in surveying a source of materials to ensure the supply for the projects; proposed the Ministry of Transport to soon study and expand the component 1A project of the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section in the phase 1, ensuring synchronous exploitation with the whole belt road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City (diverging phase).
At the meeting, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee said ok with the proposal that the Government should issue mechanisms and policies to support Ho Chi Minh city as well as the region to soon complete traffic connections, especially prioritize new connections by urban railway with routes from Binh Duong and the center of Ho Chi Minh city, Tan Son Nhat airport towards extending the railway network, thereby expanding spaces for development...
