Binh Duong entrepreneurs affirm their position

Update: 13-10-2010 | 00:00:00

Emerging to the sea

65 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh on Oct. 13, 1945 sent a letter to Vietnamese entrepreneurs to encourage them to involve in the national re-structure. Through various stages, Vietnamese entrepreneurs have greatly contributed to the country’s development. Recognizing the great contributions, Prime Minister in 2004 decided to choose the date of Oct. 13 as Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day. Since the birth of the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day, Vietnamese entrepreneur community has constantly developed and affirmed their role.

Binh Duong entrepreneurs are honored.

Together with the whole country, Binh Duong entrepreneurs have rapidly emerged with more than 9,000 businesses from 1,700 ones in 2003. Despite of difficulties of the global economic recession in the past year, many local businesses have reached high results of production and business. Notably, entrepreneur Ly Ngoc Minh, general director of Minh Long I Ltd. has contributed to highlight local ceramic industry whilst entrepreneur Le Phuoc Vu has taken Hoa Sen Group into one of Vietnam steel industry’s leading trademarks.

Another female entrepreneur Vu Thi Ngoc Trinh, chairwoman of Minh Dung Veterinary - Aquaculture Medicine Company Limited has contributed to help Vietnam’s only veterinary medicine trademark win international quality prize. Or, Nguyen Lam Vien, director of Vinamit has helped Vietnamese fruits fly away.

Possibly speaking, Binh Duong businesses’ development has not only contributed to local economy but proven strong growth of private economic sector, affirming Vietnamese business’ strength. Businesses’ contributions have helped place jobs, eliminate poverty and create rapid and sustainable development. In the first nine months of 2010, local businesses have created an industrial production value of VND74tril and paid over VND14tril to the local budget.

Offering more strength for businesses

Business community is a volunteer and crucial force in the international integration process. Honor and respect from society and community are a great impetus for businesses to overcome obstacles. Tran Viet Trong, general director of Viet Hung JSC, said “In reply to the State and community’s expectation, I think that businesses should make greater efforts to build a strong business force for the sake of sustainable development”. Meanwhile, Luong Ngoc Van, director of Truong Tho JSC shared “Businesses get more strength as being honored. Businesses should build strategies for themselves and consider service and dedication for the community as a target of sustainable development”.

The Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day not only honors businesses’ contributions but encourages them to overcome challenges. In the honoring day, business force seems to be given more strength to eye to the sea.
