Binh Duong expects to receive active support of Italian investors

In the afternoon of November 26, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy to Italy, the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh city, the Chamber of Commerce of the Massa Carrara province in Italy and the Becamex IDC to organize an online seminar of Italian investment promotion roadmap. Attending the event was Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh city, representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches, and Becamex IDC.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung said that the province's gross product (GRDP) has always achieved a fairly high growth rate compared to the average growth rate of the whole nation as the economic structure of the province has shifted positively towards gradually increasing the proportion of the services and industry. Up to now, the province has 4,011 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of USD 37 billion including 8 Italian investment projects with a capital of USD 63.8 million. Along with promoting bilateral cooperation, Binh Duong also develops multilateral cooperation and is now an official member and reliable partner of 3 international organizations. At the conference, Italian businesses, entrepreneurs and investors listened to presentations about Binh Duong Smart City and discussed investment opportunities for businesses from Tuscany.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Mai Hung Dung wished that Italian investors, businesses and entrepreneurs will come to Binh Duong to explore investment opportunities in the near future. Binh Duong hoped that in 2022 and the following years, the province would continue to receive active cooperation from Italian investors, businesses and entrepreneurs to support the province to raise bilateral cooperation and expand cooperation and multilateralism to create breakthroughs in the process of international economic integration.
