On March 30, Mai Hung Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of Product Evaluation and Classification’s Council of Provincial One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, chaired a meeting of the provincial OCOP product evaluation and classification council. Leaders of provincial People's Committee and concerned departments, localities attended the meeting.
Accordingly, in the second phase in 2022 of evaluation and classification of products of the Provincial OCOP Program, the whole province had 41 product profiles of 24 participants, including: 6 companies, 5 cooperatives, 1 cooperative groups, 3 farms, 9 production and business households. In which, Bau Bang district had 6 products, Dau Tieng district had 4 products, North Tan Uyen district had 23 products, Tan Uyen town had 3 products, and Thuan An city had 5 products. Among 41 products, there were 31 products of fresh food group, 2 products of processed food group, 2 products of seasoning group, 4 products of alcoholic beverage group, and 2 products of non-alcoholic beverage group. 2 products were nominated for four-star OCOP product, 39 products were nominated for three-star OCOP product. There were no products nominated for 5-star OCOP recognition.
According to the provincial OCOP product classification and evaluation council, the evaluation and classification of OCOP products were carried out seriously, accurately, in accordance with the quality and requirements. At the same time, the evaluation and ranking are to detect and honor the province's agricultural products with high quality, with the potential to develop large-scale production, towards export.
Up to this point, Binh Duong has 47 products that have achieved OCOP from 3 stars to 4 stars.
