Binh Duong has one individual honored with the National Volunteer Award
At the 2024 National Volunteer Award ceremony, Binh Duong was proud to honor Dr. Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Health and Chairman of Provincial Young Physicians Association. He was selected by the National Selection Council as one of the 10 individuals with the most outstanding achievements in 2024.
In 2024, Dr. Huynh Minh Chin built many practical projects for the community. Notably, the project "Charity bus rides, journey for community health" has made 89 trips to all parts of the country to examine patients, perform basic clinical tests, dispense medicine, and give free gifts to more than 35,000 poor people, heroic Vietnamese mothers, families with meritorious services, disadvantaged families, ethnic minorities... with a total cost of more than 21 billion VND. Notably, the project "Young Doctors in Binh Duong: Using Artificial Intelligence to Screen for Cancer in the Community" includes the program "Cervical Cancer Screening for Workers in Industrial Parks with Artificial Intelligence." As part of this initiative, 10,000 women of childbearing age were screened. More than 50 women were identified with early signs of cervical cancer and received prompt treatment recommendations.
It is known that the National Volunteer Award is a noble award presented annually by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to honor and promote typical examples of outstanding contributions and dedication to volunteer work for the community. In 2024, Huynh Minh Chin was awarded the "Third Class Labor Medal" by the President for his numerous outstanding achievements and contributions to the health sector in Binh Duong province.
