Binh Duong has seven communes meeting new advanced-new-rural standards

In the 2016-2020 period, Binh Duong had 100% communes meeting new-rural-construction standards; 3 districts and towns met new-rural-construction standards, completing the goal of building new rural areas. At present, the province has 7 communes, including: Thanh An, Long Hoa, Dinh Hiep, Dinh Thanh, Thanh Tuyen (Dau Tieng district); Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi (Tan Uyen town) met advanced new-rural-construction criteria according to the province's set of criteria of advanced-new-rural commune in the 2018-2020 period.

Binh Duong set the goal of maintaining the result of communes meeting the new-rural-construction standards in the previous period, develop advanced and model new-rural communes. The next phase orientation is stable and sustainable development turning towards wealthy, civilized and modern new rural areas. By 2025, Binh Duong strives to be recognized by the Prime Minister to complete the new rural construction task, 50% of communes meet advanced new-rural-construction standards, 10% of communes meet model new-rural-construction standards. Essential infrastructure works (transport, electricity, water, schools, health stations) must guarantee connectivity, interconnection and well response to climate change; life quality of new-rural residents to be improved, per capita income to increase by at least 1.8 times compared to 2020.
