Binh Duong implements demographic and housing census midterm 2024

On the afternoon of April 2, the inspection team of the General Statistics Office led by Mr. Nguyen Trung Tien, Deputy Director General, had a working session with the Statistics Office of Binh Duong province on the organization and implementation of the mid-term population and housing census in 2024.

The report to the delegation, Mr. Ngo Van Mit, Director of the Provincial Statistics Office, stated that the Provincial Statistics Office has implemented and deployed the tasks, ensuring the correct survey plan. Binh Duong has an average population of 2,823,427 people in 2023, with a population density of 1,047 people per square kilometer. To achieve accurate results and meet the set deadlines, the Provincial Statistics Office has organized the work of recruiting investigators, processing statistical results, providing professional training for officers and employees to ensure the accurate compilation of tables in each specific area; the selection process for investigators has been emphasized from the beginning.

The provincial statistics office selected 226 people to participate in creating the list, 256 investigators to collect information, and 27 supervisors at all levels. In the districts, towns, and cities, 9 training classes were organized for supervisors, all investigators mastered the investigation techniques, question content, questioning methods, and the use of electronic forms in collecting information through CAPI software, practicing and interviewing households using CAPI.

At the working session, Mr. Nguyen Trung Tien requested investigators to visit households to turn on location tracking to collect information, invite police forces at all levels to participate in the investigation. When there are investigation results, coordination with communes and wards to announce the investigation results needs to be organized.
