In recent days, the aftermath of Yagi typhoon and the residual effects have caused serious impacts and damages to the people and properties of our northern provinces. Along with the whole country, Binh Duong is turning towards our beloved northern region with a lot of shared emotions and mobilizing the collective efforts of the community to continue supporting our fellow countrymen in the north to overcome the consequences caused by the storm and overcome difficulties.
Towards the north
After a short preparation time, around 10 am on September 11th, the Raptor Binh Duong youth group set off to bring love to the people in the North. In Binh Duong, the group started with 4 pickup trucks, and along the way, they will pick up more people to join, with an estimated total of 15 vehicles.
On behalf of the Party Committee, authority, and people of Binh Duong province, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, presented a symbolic board of support worth 10 billion VND to the people affected by Yagi.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung of An Phu Ward, Thuan An city, a member of the club, said that the estimated budget for this support trip is about 200 million VND. Two days before, Mr. Hung called for support for the people in the North and received the response from many friends. By the time the group set off, he had received more than 100 million VND in donations. Due to the long distance and inconvenient transportation of goods, Mr. Hung has connected with members of the pickup truck club in Hanoi to support the purchase of goods. When they arrive, the goods will be loaded onto trucks and transported to the heavily affected areas in Lao Cai, Yen Bai, and Cao Bang to support the local people. The priority for the supported goods is ready-to-eat food and life jackets.
On the afternoon of September 10, at the launching ceremony of the donation campaign to support people affected by typhoon No. 3, organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi, on behalf of the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Binh Duong province, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, presented a symbolic donation of 10 billion VND to provinces and cities to overcome the damages caused by natural disasters, storms, and floods. |
Meanwhile, the Sen Vang Charity Group (in Thu Dau Mot City) has also decided to suspend receiving resources for the gift-giving program for underprivileged children on the occasion of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and the scholarship program "Nurturing Dreams, Stepping Towards the Future" for the academic year 2024-2025 that the group has long planned to focus on supporting people in the Northern region. According to Mr. Dong Huu Dat, head of the Sen Vang Charity Group, when the group discussed and transferred this support to the people affected by the flood, all kind-hearted individuals were very supportive. "Even a little can mean a lot, and we hope to send more love to our fellow countrymen in the North in the coming days," Mr. Dat said.
This time, about 600 gifts (including cakes, candies, and soft drinks) received from URC Company (VISIP I Industrial Park, Thuan An city) have been sent by the pickup truck club to be delivered to the North. The amount of funding that the kind-hearted individuals are expected to support the group in organizing scholarships for disadvantaged students has also been discussed by the group, and the kind-hearted individuals will transfer the funds directly to the local area to support our fellow countrymen in the North.
On the morning of September 11, members of Raptor Binh Duong Club loaded goods onto vehicles to depart for the North to support people affected by the storm and floods.
Necessity for support

To join hands in helping and sharing with the people who have suffered heavy losses caused by Yagi, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - Standing Committee of the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee calls on fellow countrymen, officials, civil servants, workers, armed forces, agencies, organizations, businesses, and kind-hearted individuals inside and outside the province to join together, contribute and support the people of the northern provinces in overcoming difficulties.
