As of July 2013, the whole province had a total of 94 markets, 9 supermarkets and 7 trade centers at the local people’s demand for shopping.

Many enterprises have actively got involved in promoting the development of the province’s trade infrastructure. Currently, most big retailers at home and abroad, namely Nguyen Kim, Thien Hoa, Vinatex, Co.opMart, Metro Cash&Carry, Big C, Aeon, Lotte…, are present in Binh Duong. There is a continuous increase in the number of market, supermarket and plaza projects compared to the previous years. So far, most street markets have been cleared away.

Provincial People’s Committee has issued Decision No.4141/QD-UBND dated Dec.31, 2011 on approval of provincial development plan on market, supermarket and trade center network till 2020. Under the plan, the whole province will have 110 markets, 17 supermarkets and 20 trade centers by 2015. And till 2020, there will be 122 markets, 24 supermarkets and 37 trade centers.
