Binh Duong Newspaper’s Youth Union branch visits martyr Le Thi Thien’s memorial house and awards scholarships to students

On March 18, Binh Duong Newspaper’s Youth Union branch organized a delegation to visit the memorial house of teacher - martyr Le Thi Thien in My Phuoc Tay commune’s Ba Beo hamlet in Cai Lay town in the Mekong Delta  province of Tien Giang.

At the event, leaders of Binh Duong Newspaper, the locality and members of the 2 Youth Union branches offered incense and flowers to commemorate teacher - martyr Le Thi Thien. Addressing the event, Nguyen Quoc Liem, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Binh Duong Newspaper shared: The “return-to-the root” trip aims at traditional education for Youth Union members of the 2 units and localities, upholding youth’s strength for the community. The program also contributes to tightening the bond and friendship between the Youth Union branches of Binh Duong Newspaper and My Phuoc Tay commune in particular and the Youth Union members of Binh Duong and Tien Giang provinces in general.

On this occasion, Binh Duong Newspaper’s Youth Union branch gave 20 gifts for people with difficult circumstances; 20 scholarships worth VND 500,000 each for the local students. These gifts were funded by Binh Duong provincial Red Cross Society and Thanh Le Import-Export Trading Corporation.
