Binh Duong Online’s efforts eyes development trend

Found in 2002, Binh Duong Online (www.baobinhduong.org.vn and www.baobinhduong.com.vn) has showed a remarkable development in both content and lay-out and grasped the common development trend.

Variety of promulgation forms

Over the past 2 years, BDO’s information has been focused on quality, time and content with numerous news and document inside and outside of the country. To promulgate the Party and State’s instructions, policies, aside from Vietnamese edition, BDO has developed English and Chinese editions, contributing to offer local information for foreign readers and expatriates.

Most of local and country important events such as all level party congress, elections of 13th NA and People’s Council at all levels (2011-2016 term)… have been promulgated timely, plentifully and rapidly.

To bring amenity for readers, BDO often renovates its interface in conformity with new technology. Apart from main columns including Politics, Society, Economics, International…, BDO has opened additional columns such as Focus, Family, Charity Program… to increase interaction and connection with readers. Therefore, feedbacks, exchanges, making friends or charity bridge from readers have showed a remarkable increase. The ratio of feedbacks and comments from functional agencies, readers has also surged sharply. Notably, the number of access people to the BDO has reached over 20,000 people per day, of which a large rate is from overseas Vietnamese and foreigners.

Innovation to keep pace with trend

On development trend of journalism, online newspaper has many advantages. BDO therefore will keep promulgating information to readers inside and outside of the country.

To reach the goal, BDO’s employees have made greater efforts to keep pace with a rapid development of the field. Besides, BDO’s leaders have mapped out roadmap of development for the website.

Nguyen Huynh Dinh, editor-in-chief of Binh Duong Newspaper, stressed “Realizing strength of online newspaper, Binh Duong Newspaper will pay attention to available online editions. Accordingly, equipment, human resources will be strengthened. More importantly, connection of information inside and outside of the country will be focused to develop further the trademark of BDO”.
