Binh Duong pays gift visit to the poor in Cambodia’s Kaldal

On April 4, Binh Duong province’s Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association in collaboration with provincial Red Cross Society, Buddhist Sangha’s charity board held a delegation to visit and present 300 gifts worth VND500,000 each, comprising of sugar, salt, rice, seasoning power, fish sauce, cooking oil and cash, to the poor in Cambodia’s Kaldal province on the occasion of Cambodian people’s New Year festival Chol Chnam Thmay.

This practical deed aimed to support the local poor people while encouraging them to rise up in life. It also contributed to tightening the long-lasting friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

*The same day, provincial Red Cross Society also held a delegation to visit and present gifts to the poor hit by drought in Binh Phuoc province’s Loc Ninh district.

Particularly, the delegation extended best regards to the local poor people while giving them 100 gifts worth VND300,000 each, including instant noodle, rice, soya sauce, cooking oil and bottled drinking water. It is known that these gifts has a total value of VND30mln, funded by Phuoc Hung pagoda, Tan Dinh ward’s charity kitchen and Tran Chien Cong, Deputy Director of Binh Duong Water Supply-Drainage and Environment One-Member Co.Ltd.
