Binh Duong perform well festival organization

In 2017, Binh Duong had many festivals, including the 2nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” Festival - Binh Duong in 2017, the first Full Moon Festival, Lai Thieu ripe fruit season…Efforts from Steering Committee, Organizing Committee for festivals, and the harmonious collaboration of departments, unions, people in the province, the festivals successfully took place and impressed majority Binh Duong people and visitors. Since then, the Central also appreciated Binh Duong province in terms of festival organization.

Many impressive festivals

The second National “Don Ca Tai Tu” (DCTT) Festival - Binh Duong was an unforgettable festival in 2017. The festival took place in April 2017 in Binh Duong New City and hosted by Ministry Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Binh Duong province. This was a great festival for DCTT lovers, traditional music kind of the motherland. Coming to the festival, visitors were able to enjoy not only sweet voices with the harmony of many traditional music instruments... but also special dishes of the southern provinces. Moreover, tourists enjoyed the opening and closing program demonstrating the breath, the life of the Southern land, the vitality of DCTT in the southern region in general, Binh Duong province in particular and the development of Binh Duong land. "I am really impressed with DCTT Festival in Binh Duong. With a smart layout of DCTT space in Binh Duong New City park as a flow of ethnic music from many provinces coming together to sing about the homeland. We also felt the development of Binh Duong province, a dynamic, creative land”, said Nguyen Khac Hoan from Tien Giang.

 

Binh Duong province successfully organize the second National DCTT Festival. 

The first Full Moon Festival in Binh Duong with Thien Hau palanquin procession going through main roads of Thu Dau Mot market was considered as the largest festival in the South on occasion of the first full moon. The festival not only satisfied the needs for spiritual beliefs of everyone but also was a cultural characteristic of the province. Hence, in order to make the festival a success, TDM City Steering Committee for the festival collaborated closely with Ba Pagoda’s managing board and functional agencies. In recent years, besides ensuring security for tourists, the festival has been considered as a free festival, because visitors were provided with free water, food, motorbike patches, motorbike taxi service....

In order to promote the image of Lai Thieu orchards, while developing tourism in this area, Binh Duong hosted Lai Thieu ripe fruit season. The festival was full of activities such as fairs, exhibitions, art performances, visitors also enjoyed fruit specialties of Lai Thieu such as mangosteen, bonbon, durian, and dishes from special fruits, such as mangosteen salad, durian chicken. Due to the good, impressive organization, every lunar May, tourists are waiting for this festival and come to Binh Duong, enjoy delicious fruit and visit fruit gardens.

Close cooperation

In order for festivals in Binh Duong province to bring satisfaction to visitors as well as to preserve festive civilization, according to Nguyen Khoa Hai, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, provincial leaders directed the establishment of a steering committee for festivals. After that, the Steering Committee set up specific plans and assigned tasks to each unit and individual. In addition, throughout the festive days, members of the Steering Committee continuously were always on duty to handle arising problems. In addition, the government encouraged the people to support the festivals. After each festive season, the committee evaluates and drew experiences to overcome shortcomings in the organization works.

Along with the preparation, the work to ensure security and order for festivals also concerned the Steering Committee. Accordingly, provincial Police developed and deployed plans to ensure security before, during and after the festivals. At the venue of festivals, there were specific plans, functional forces to ensure security and order. Therefore, there were no incidents during festive seasons; safety of tourists was guaranteed. Bui Thanh Huong from Ho Chi Minh City, who has repeatedly joined the first Full Moon Festival, asserted that the festival was more and more organized, impressive and spacious. At the festival, she felt safe without pickpockets, robbery. Binh Duong people are always cheerful, enthusiastic, friendly, made her and visitors feel very comfortable.

Mr. Hai added that in the coming time, Binh Duong would organize more festivals to introduce the land and people of Binh Duong to tourists; simultaneously develop provincial tourism. However, provincial leaders will consider and select appropriate festivals to organize and direct carefully bodies to collaborate well so that festivals would be really safe, civilized, economical and meaningful.
