Binh Duong provincial Journalists’ Society on June 18 held a get-together to mark the 88th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2013) with the participation of Nguyen Minh Giao, head of the provincial Education and Propaganda Committee.

  Excellent journalists receive insignias for the cause of Vietnamese journalism.At the get-together, the society’s members tracked back tradition of Vietnam revolutionary press. Promoting the glorious tradition, press activity and journalist staff in the province have been improved, quality of press works have been enhanced.

Addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Minh Giao highly valued local press sector’s strong development on all areas. Accordingly, local press sector has met well local political task and hoped to enhance role and quality of press activity, to renovate operational mode in a bid to gather and unite journalists.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association granted insignias for the cause of Vietnamese Journalism to 8 excellent journalists as well as launched the 1st Nguyen Van Tiet press award 2013.
