Binh Duong provincial leaders in working reception with World Bank Director in Vietnam

In the morning of November 18, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee had an online meeting with Ms. Carolyn Turk, World Bank Director in Vietnam on the issues related to the water environment in the province.

At the working session, the two sides reported from scientific researches on the environment; at the same time, discussed in detail the contents related to the project of "Improving the water environment in Binh Duong province."

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Carolyn Turk highly appreciated Binh Duong's efforts in renovating and protecting the ecological environment over the past time. Within the framework of the cooperation program between the World Bank and the government of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular, World Bank in Vietnam will try to do the best possible projects related to improving the ecological environment, human health and well-being society. Ms. Carolyn Turk also highly appreciated the province's joint efforts in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic and believed that Binh Duong would continue to rise to sustainable development as the orientation determined by the province.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung thanked for the companionship and support of the World Bank and personally Ms. Carolyn Turk for making many contributions to the development of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular. At the same time, he hoped that the World Bank and Ms. Carolyn Turk would continue to accompany and support the province to well implement projects related to environmental improvement and social security, helping to improve the quality of people's lives.
