Binh Duong provincial Social Insurance warns public not to click on unfamiliar links

Update: 13-05-2024 | 14:51:00

Recently, the provincial social insurance system has received many feedbacks from people, workers about some individuals calling to request updating citizen identification numbers, email addresses... on the "VssID - social insurance number" application through a link due to incorrect information, and at the same time asking people to add Zalo friends on the phone for guidance on adjustments.

Specifically, the individual calls and introduces themselves as working at the district-level social insurance and requests citizens to update their ID card on the application by accessing a strange link with the extension ".govvvn.com" on their mobile device and following the instructions. Here, the screen displays an interface similar to the "VssID - social insurance number" application of the Social Insurance of Vietnam. Then, the user requests to add Zalo friends, enters any phone number and password, and after clicking confirm, all the money in the citizen's account is compromised.

Before that situation, the provincial social insurance had informed the social insurance of provinces, centrally-run cities, departments, committees, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities of the province, service organizations collecting fees; units participating in social insurance in the province to disseminate to units, workers, people to raise vigilance spirit, absolutely not to add friends on Zalo, nor click on strange links nor provide OTP, personal passwords, facial recognition etc. to strangers to avoid being exploited or deceived by criminals.

Currently, the provincial social insurance does not have a policy of calling or texting workers to update information on the "VssID - social insurance number" application.
