Binh Duong provincial Tax Department continue to accompany and support taxpayers

Implementing programs and policies contributing to socio-economic recovery and development of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Tax and Binh Duong provincial Tax Department have quickly and synchronously deployed many tax solutions to remove difficulties for customers, businesses and people, creating a positive driving force for economic growth.

Many supporting policies

In the context of general economic difficulties, domestic and export markets are shrinking, production and business activities of enterprises are seriously affected. Some industries and fields tend to tighten management to be more conservative in building business plans, and are even forced to keep away ongoing projects, leading to economic losses and negative impacts, significantly affecting the competitiveness of enterprises.

Faced with the above difficulties, in 2020-2022, the Ministry of Finance has proactively proposed, submitted to competent authorities and promulgated according to its authority many solutions in the financial sector, especially policies related to extending, reducing, postponing taxes, land rents etc. to promptly support and resolve difficulties for the business community and people. In Binh Duong, by the end of September 2023, the provincial Tax Department had refunded VND 16,543 billion in value-added tax, equal to 43.31% of the value-added tax refund estimate for 2023.

In 2023, in the spirit of continuing to accompany businesses and people to overcome difficulties to recover and develop the economy, implementing fiscal policy packages to support taxpayers, the provincial Tax Department has implemented a 50% reduction of environmental protection tax with VND 115.54 billion; extension of taxes and land rent over VND 4,164 billion; exemption from late payment interest to support businesses and people affected by the COVID-19 epidemic nearly VND 46 billion. The above measures have directly supported financial resources for people and businesses, helping businesses soon balance and restore production and business activities. Thereon, it has contributed significantly to the recovery and promoted the transformation of businesses in the current period.

In order to realize the government's message of "Uniting discipline, proactive adaptation, effective safety, recovery and development", the provincial tax department also deployed many flexible solutions in simplifying administrative procedures to actively support businesses to save time and costs in tax declaration and payment, thereby increasing efficiency in business operations. Besides, the tax department always listens to legitimate aspirations and effectively accompanies businesses in the process of implementing tax policies.

At dialogue conferences between the provincial Tax Department and businesses and industry associations in 2023, businesses all said that there was a lot of information related to new policies, laws, and administrative procedures in the field. Taxation is proactively provided by specialized agencies. At the same time, the tax department answers and removes difficulties and problems thoroughly, transparently and frankly, especially when taxpayers convert to electronic invoices generated from cash registers, creating favorable conditions. for operations and strengthening cooperation between taxpayers and tax authorities.

Noting the assessment of businesses' satisfaction with the tax department, Nguyen Liem, Chairman of Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA), said that through meetings and dialogues, the rate of satisfied businesses with increasing tax procedures. In particular, many important evaluation indicators scored high thanks to the easy access to information and the effectiveness of administrative procedure reform. The attitude of tax officials to receive and handle business-related issues is increasingly improving and is highly appreciated by the business community.
