During December 4 and 5 in Cao Bang city, the Trade Unions of Binh Duong Province and Ho Chi Minh city had a meeting, exchanging and learning experiences in trade union work and the labor movement with their counterpart of Cao Bang province. The delegation was welcomed and accompanied by Ly Thi Hue, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Trade Union and Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cao Bang Province.
At the meeting, Tran Cong Huan, Vice Chairman of the Cao Bang provincial Trade Union, shared that in recent years, the Party and the State have shown great concern and implemented numerous policies for Cao Bang province, especially for areas with ethnic minority populations, remote and border regions. However, the livelihoods of the people, workers, and civil servants in the province still face many difficulties, which in turn affect the activities of the trade union organization. Currently, the province has 14 directly affiliated trade unions, 773 grassroots trade unions, 27,882 workers and employees, 27,482 trade union members, and 3,016 workers. Cao Bang province does not have industrial zones or export processing zones. The majority of businesses are small and medium-sized enterprises, micro-enterprises, and family businesses. There are few workers, stable labor relations, and no labor disputes. The majority of trade union members are officials and civil servants in the administrative sector.
During the meeting, the trade unions from three provinces and cities shared their results and experiences in union work, as well as their experiences in implementing the topic of "studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh." The delegation also visited the special national historical site of Pac Bo and held a ceremony to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
Previously, the delegation had a working session and exchanged experiences with the provincial trade union of Thai Nguyen to offer incense at the memorial site of President Ho Chi Minh in the Safety Zone.
