Binh Duong provincial Traffic Police check passenger transport vehicles on the national highway

Lieutenant Colonel Thuong Van Lanh - captain of the patrol and handling team of the provincial traffic police department, said that the My Phuoc - Tan Van route is the main arterial route of the province with tens of thousands of vehicles circulating every day. In order to ensure traffic safety on this route, officers and soldiers of the unit always uphold the spirit in their work, especially in the last days of the year, in addition to ensuring traffic safety, to also focus on ensuring traffic safety in order to promptly detect the transportation of contraband and prohibited goods through the area.

In the first day of January 2023, we followed the patrol team to perform tasks on the road and noted that the work was carried out very seriously. Specifically, when the patrol team ordered to stop a bus of license plate number 51B - 296... of Phuoc Hung bus station running the route from Mien Dong bus station to Gia Lai bus station. After checking the number of passengers, the traffic police force checked the driver's papers and license then asked to open the trunk for inspection. After checking the valid documents for a while, the traffic police force reminded the driver to wear a uniform and nametag while driving; In the car, to play music just enough to make people sleep easily; At night, the road is empty, so the driver is advised to drive at the right speed, not overtaking recklessly.

The patrol team continued to check Thanh Cong passenger cars running the route Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Phuoc. Just got off the bus, driver D.V.T begged to forgive the mistake of picking up passengers along the way and presented a ticket that had just paid the fine. However, before the determination of the traffic police force, driver T. had to sign the minutes because of his violation.

Lieutenant Colonel Lanh emphasized because people's shopping demand increased at the end of the year, in addition, people who work far away from home also bring many items and gifts. Taking advantage of the situation on some "disguised" objects to transport banned goods, dirty food, fake goods. Faced with the above situation, the traffic police force, when giving the order to stop the vehicle, will carefully check the goods on the vehicle and related documents. In addition, along the My Phuoc - Tan Van route, surrounded by industrial parks, near the Lunar New Year, cars may pick up and drop off passengers without entering the parking lot. Therefore, the traffic police force will patrol in industrial parks and strictly punish those violators. “As Tet approaches, many companies deliver and stockpile materials for production at the beginning of the New Year, so the number of trucks carrying goods will increase. Therefore, the traffic police force will patrol irregularly to prevent and control traffic safety violations as well as other types of "road watch" to deal with the functional forces," said Colonel Lanh.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Vo Duc Tin, Head of National Highway 13 Traffic Police Station, said Highway 13 has a much higher number of passenger cars and passenger cars than before. In order to actively ensure traffic order and safety, the traffic police force strengthens the supervision of control and strictly punishes violations. For passenger cars passing through the province, the traffic police force will check the number of passengers on the vehicle to avoid overcrowding; cargo must be full of valid words according to regulations.

Senior Colonel Pham Quang Truong - Deputy Head of the provincial Traffic Police, said that in order to ensure traffic safety and order during the Tet holiday, the provincial Traffic Police Department mobilized all forces, equipment and arranged tight control teams on important routes of My Phuoc – Tan Van, National Highway 13, DT741, DT743 among others. According to Colonel Truong's assessment, in the past time thanks to the control of the forces and strict sanctions, the traffic accident situation has been controlled, which has reduced 2 criteria on the quantity of cases and the injured. However, on the days leading up to Tet, the number of vehicles participating in traffic increases, the traffic police force needs to actively grasp the situation and have a flexible plan accordingly. First of all, focus on controlling and handling from the root of violations - the direct causes of traffic accidents such as violations of alcohol concentration, speeding, severely sanction should be made on the situation of illegal passenger transportation. Then, effective prevention should be established against crimes operating on traffic routes such as illegal transportation of toxic substances, firecrackers, explosives, weapons, contraband, banned goods, counterfeit goods, and contaminated food products.
