Binh Duong provincial Union of Friendship Organizations renovates operational form

On March 31, Binh Duong provincial Union of Friendship Organizations held its 1^st congress for the tenure of 2015-2020. Attending the congress were Bui Khac Son, vice chairman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Pham Van Canh, chairman of the provincial People’s Council and 67 delegates representing 452 members of membership unions.

Founded in 1997, the union and its members have promoted key role in some activities of foreign affairs, contributing to spur cooperation relation, friendship solidarity, exchange with foreign partners. The union executive board has cooperated and supported membership unions to hold many activities of peace, friendship on important events. Until now, the province has had 3 friendship unions including Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Union, Vietnam-Laos Friendship Union and Vietnam-Russia Friendship Union with 452 members.

The congress elected the 1^st executive board’s members including 19 people with the chair of Tran Thi Kim Van.

Speaking at the congress, Pham Van Canh stressed that the union should in the coming time continue to renovate operation and simultaneously perfect and renovate operational forms on flexibility, creation and efficiency.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were honored for their excellent achievements in foreign affairs.
