Binh Duong ranks second in PAPI 2022

A conference to announce the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) 2022 took place on April 12 in Hanoi. Ly Van Dep, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Home Affairs attended the conference.

Binh Duong province achieved a total score of 47,4488 points, ranking second in the PAPI 2022. Binh Duong maintained its rank compared to 2021, increasing by more than 2.7 points compared to 2021. Quang Ninh province ranked first with 47,8763 points, followed by Thanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Thua Thien Hue, Bac Lieu, Binh Thuan... Mr. Dep said that the announced results showed that Binh Duong kept the 2nd position compared to 2021, which was the pride of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Binh Duong province. This result was the recognition and encouragement from the people together with the efforts by the political system, especially at grassroots level.

The PAPI is very important, not only collecting timely information about what is happening in governance and public administration in general, but also paying attention to what people are experiencing when using the PAPI. “The PAPI not only provides objective information about people's experience and relationships with local authorities, but also is a tool to assess the actual effectiveness of all-level authorities by creating conditions for people to fulfill their obligations and rights", said Mr. Dep.
