Under the Government’s Resolution No.1, Binh Duong province has put forward many measures towards sustainable development, including boosting industrial development, raising competitive ability, continuing selectively attracting investment…

Improving competitive ability

Despite common difficulties, Binh Duong’s industrial manufacture last year saw high growth.

Particularly, industrial production value was estimated at VND123.2trillion, up 17.8%. Domestic investment sector accounted for 32.6% of total, up 18.6% while foreign investment sector accounted for 67.4% of total, up 17.3%.

Businesses urged to improve technologies with the goal of enhancing products’competitive ability

Some industries of woodwork, paper, rubber, textile, food processing, electric components…gained high growth.

In 2012, economy still faces many difficulties. Provincial leaders have devised measure groups to boost industrial development, especially attach special importance to raising competitive ability, continuing selectively attracting investment towards sustainable development.

For 2012’s targets, the province will strive to increase total GDP by 13.5%; have an economic structure of industry-services and agriculture with corresponding ratios of 62%-43.4% and 3.6%...

Regarding measures to speed up industrial development, according to provincial chairman Le Thanh Cung, the province needs to realize the action programs of the provincial Party Committee, the Resolutions of the central congresses and the Government’s Resolution No.1 in a synchronous way; brace up businesses to renovate technologies in order to improve the quality of products and their competitive ability.

The province also needs to attach special importance to fostering supportive industries and promoting industrial development in association with urban services…

Attracting investment selectively

In the measure group of boosting industrial development, provincial People’s Committee has approved Decision No.49/2011/QD-UBND on arrangement of province-based industries that suit the province’s real conditions as well as the province’s overall plan in the coming time.

Provincial People’s Committee has also instructed the local industry-trade sector to effectively take measures to remove businesses’ obstacles, helping them obtain production stability and development. Besides, businesses have taken initiative in devising measures to promote their production and trading activities, including logically cutting production costs, rearranging investment and labor structure, enhancing management efficiency, focusing on speeding up production…

With the above-mentioned measure groups, the province’s industrial manufacture will overcome difficulties towards sustainable development, contributing to the common growth of the province this year.
