Binh Duong’s youngsters make many significant works

In response to the Youth Year 2011, Binh Duong province’s youths have had a lot of opportunities to uphold their voluntary role in realizing many significant works for sake of the development of the province…

The Volunteer Youth Day for the Poor: Since early this year, the local youths have actively got involved in many significant activities for the poor such as providing free medical check-ups and medicine for them, visiting and presenting gifts to them, building houses of compassion for them…with total expense of more than VND800mln.

Under the project of “Helping poor youths to rise up out of poverty”, it is expected that provincial Youth Union will give vocational training, jobs, loans for home-based business…to 175 poor youths.

 The local youths act for the poorThe Day of “Youths act for environment”: More than 1,000 local youths took part in a parade for a green, clean and beautiful environment. Noticeably, Tan Uyen district’s youths worked out a youth work of clearing 25km of the Cai stream. Thuan An town’s Youth Union also responded to the day with the project of “environmental protection” between 2011 and 2015 with total expense of VND700mln.

The Youth Day for Disadvantaged Children: The program of “Lightening up the dreams of Binh Duong’s children” and many other significant programs of granting scholarships, donating gifts, providing medical check-ups and medicine…to disadvantaged children were launched in response to the day. They absorbed more than 1,500 youths with total expense of more than VND150mln.

The Youth Day for the Border Region: Provincial Youth Unions at all levels were twinned with the border districts of southern Binh Phuoc province. Here, they visited and donated gifts worth VND200mln to soldiers. It is known that provincial Youth Union is setting up a joint twinning program and there will be many practical programs to support remote districts in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.

The Day of “Youths voluntarily gave blood”: As many as 350 units of blood were donated by the local youths. With propaganda activities, the local youths voluntarily registered to give their blood to help save lives of patients.

The Festive Day of Vietnamese Youths, March 26: Provincial Youth Union and its affiliates organized a lot of activities to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Youth Union, including cultural-sports activities, variety shows…with the participation of more than 10,000 youths, contributing to making faith among the local youths.
