Binh Duong’s youth proudly advancing under Party flag

The 2015 provincial “Summer Youth Volunteer” campaign will take place in June, July and August with the motto of “Each youth does a volunteer deed; each Youth Union does a youth work in celebration of Party congresses at all levels”. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels will get involved in volunteer activities for the sake of the community, upholding the volunteer spirit of the local youth, contributing to building up a more beautiful and prosperous Binh Duong.

During the 2015 “Summer Youth Volunteer” campaign themed “Proudly advancing under Party flag”, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will concentrate on activities taking care of the local needy people while organizing volunteer activities in remote, border areas and islands. Province-based universities and colleges will hold many youth volunteer squads, offering help to needy people in and out of the province.

 Allied youth volunteer squads will get involved in making rural traffic works, which is seen as a significant activity of the 2015 provincial “Summer youth volunteer” program

This year’s “Summer Youth Volunteer” campaign includes five main topics: “Giving strength in exam season”, “Green summer volunteer”, “Green operation”, “Young workers and intellectuals volunteering for the community”, “International volunteer”. According to Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union, the local youngsters will focus on the “Giving strength in exam season” and “Green summer volunteer” campaigns via many significant activities, comprising of offering help to candidates in the 2015 university/college entrance exam season, organizing summer activities for children, joining hands in new rural construction, engaging in activities of “paying debt of gratitude” and ones towards national islands and sea, making environmental hygiene…

During the summer youth campaign, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will also attach special importance to taking care of young workers through the “Young workers and intellectuals volunteering for the community” campaign. Under the campaign, localities will continue well realize provincial Project of “Improving awareness of the law among youth”; mobilize proprietors not to increase their lodging price; give support on temporary residence registration for immigrant workers…

One of highlights to be done during the 2015 provincial “summer youth volunteer” campaign is the “Green operation” campaign with coordination between armed forces and youth volunteers to carry out key youth works in needy localities. Accordingly, along with summer volunteer squads, young physicians will provide free medical check-up and medicine for pupils and soldiers in border areas and islands; organize training courses on skills of first aid, fire prevention and fighting for children, teenagers and locals; open a “military semester” program, a “self-motivated teenagers studying good things” camping festival…

Such these apart, provincial Steering Board of the 2015 “Summer youth volunteer” campaign will pay attention to international volunteer activities, including organizing cultural exchange programs, providing free medical check-ups and medicine for children and people in two neighboring countries Laos and Cambodia. The Vietnam-Korea Cultural Center will also take care of poor children, young workers and policy beneficiary families via many practical activities.

A ceremony to launch the 2015 provincial “summer youth volunteer” campaign is expected to be organized in Bau Bang district’s Cay Truong commune on the morning of June 12 ahead. After the ceremony, the local youth will get involved in such significant activities as starting construction of houses of compassion, providing medical check-ups and medicine for people with extremely difficult circumstances; visiting policy beneficiary families; delivering leaflets on law dissemination; giving blood…

The Steering Board has also set some targets in the 2015 “summer youth volunteer” campaign as follows:

-Building at least 5 houses of compassion

-Having 100% of universities and college with the “Giving strength to exam season” program

-Providing medical examination and consultancy for 500 people

-Mobilizing Youth Union members to give 1,000 units of blood
