Binh Duong’s youths: “When drinking water, remember its source”

In each annual summer youth volunteer season, provincial Youth Unions at all levels organize many activities of “when drinking water, remember its source”, absorbing the participation of youth blocs across the province.

Implementing three campaigns, namely “Red flamboyant”, “Pink vacation” and “Green operation”, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have attached special importance to organizing “paying debt of gratitude” activities. Accordingly, they have got involved in cleaning up martyrs’ cemeteries, historical relics; offering gifts to war invalids, martyrs’ families, heroic Vietnamese mothers, revolutionary contributors…

On the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2019), provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has organized delegations to visit and pay tribute to heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids and martyrs’ families. The Youth Unions of towns, districts and TDM city have also teamed up with their branches to organize “paying debt of gratitude” activities. Particularly, Ben Cat town’s Youth Union coordinated with the town’s Health Center and other units to organize a journey named “Gratitude of July” with such practical activities as visiting heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors. Particularly, the delegation visited and offered 110 gifts worth more than VND33million to the local policy beneficiaries in the town and Bau Bang district…

Whilst, in Di An town’s Binh an ward, the Youth Union branches of quarters Binh Thung 1, Binh Thung 2, Noi Hoa 1, Noi Hoa 2, Chau Thoi…worked with the Youth Union branches of the town’s Police Agency, Public Work and Urban Management Division…to visit and give gifts for 20 policy beneficiary families. The Youth Union branches of Thang Loi 2 quarter in Di An town’s Di An ward and Le Quy Don primary school also paid a gift visit to 3 policy beneficiary families.

Implementing activities “youths paying tribute to the elders”, 35 high schools in the province coordinated with communes, townships and armed forces to clean up martyrs’ cemeteries, monuments; visit and offer gifts to policy beneficiary families, heroic Vietnamese mothers…In Tan Uyen town, pupils at Huynh Van Nghe and Thai Hoa high schools took part in a return-to-the root journey at Vinh Loi war zone…

Along with Youth Union members, pupil blocs and armed forces, the local Youth Unions at all levels have also organized many significant activities paying tribute to the local policy beneficiaries. Noticeably, the Youth Union of Phu Tho ward in TDM city cleaned up, offered incense and planted flowers around the precinct of local Martyrs’ Cemetery. Provincial Support Center for Young Workers also organized a journey connecting young workers with many significant activities, including realizing social activities, visiting heroic Vietnamese mothers…

The above “paying debt of gratitude” activities have contributed to educating young people about revolutionary tradition, patriotism and national pride.
