Binh Duong secures 9th position in PAPI

On the morning of April 15, in Hanoi, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vietnam hosted the announcement of the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index 2024 (PAPI Index 2024) report, which revealed several significant findings.

The 2024 PAPI Report indicates that local governments across all levels have made significant strides in various aspects of local governance and public service delivery to citizens. The report highlights Quang Ninh province as the leader with a total score of 47.82, followed by Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Thuan, Ha Tinh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Bac Ninh provinces. Binh Duong holds the 9th position with a total score of 45.39.

The PAPI 2024 report notably highlights advancements in the content indicators of “Transparency in Local Decision-Making,” “Control of Corruption in the Public Sector,” “Environmental Governance,” and “E-Governance.” The findings of the PAPI survey serve as a valuable resource for the government to assess the efficacy of its apparatus and the quality of public services, thereby facilitating the development of policies and action plans aimed at enhancing its performance.
