Binh Duong seeks Denmark’s support in transfer of green technology, clean industry and environmental protection
Early March 6, Nguyan Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of Binh Duong’s National Assembly Deputy Delegation chaired a meeting with Louise Schack Elholm, Chairwoman of the Danish Parliament's Business Committee.

At the meeting, Mrs. Louise Schack Elholm expressed her admiration for Binh Duong's development and was pleased to witness the rapid progress of the LEGO project, which she described as a symbol of Denmark’s green investment trend in Vietnam. She also noted that Danish businesses are highly interested in Binh Duong’s investment environment, promising new opportunities for sustainable development, innovation and collaboration between the two sides in the future. In her role, Mrs. Louise Schack Elholm pledged to continue serving as a bridge to strengthen cooperation between Denmark and Vietnam in general, Denmark and Binh Duong in particular.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Loi informed the delegation of Binh Duong's socio-economic development, highlighting its potential, strengths and unique advantages. Currently, Denmark ranks ninth among the largest investors in the province, with 15 projects totaling $1.56 billion in investment capital. Notable projects include those by LEGO, Pandora, Ecco and Scancom. A key highlight of the cooperation between the two sides is the LEGO factory in Binh Duong, a US$1.3 billion project and LEGO’s first carbon-neutral factory worldwide.
Mr.Loi expressed his hope that Mrs. Louise Schack Elholm would serve as an active bridge to further promote cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark in general and between Binh Dương and Denmark in particular. He called for support in organizing investment promotion programs to attract more Danish enterprises to Binh Duong in the future. Additionally, he sought Denmark’s assistance in technology transfer, especially in green technology, clean industry and environmental protection. He also emphasized the importance of attracting investment in the province’s science and technology industrial park and development of high-quality human resources.
*On the afternoon of the same day, provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Loi met with leaders of Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank to discuss investment opportunities. He also worked with THACO Group as they reported on the status and plans for implementing their industrial park investment project.
