At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee and ADB signed a memorandum of cooperation. Namely, ADB commits to supporting Binh Duong province in implementing projects and programs of addressing the challenges of climate change, building an environment resilient to climate and natural disasters; improving environmental sustainability; accelerate progress on gender equality; enhance regional integration and cooperation; cooperation in developing scientific and technological research... Binh Duong Province creates favorable conditions and provides ADB with necessary instructions on administrative procedures for programs and projects; commits counterpart capital for programs and projects supported by ADB... The cooperation memorandum is valid for 5 years.
Talking with ADB leaders, Dung believes that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will create opportunities for the two sides to bond and cooperate more closely, promoting the province's socio-economic development, especially in implementing Binh Duong planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision for 2050 through programs and projects funded by ADB.
Shantanu affirmed that the signing of the memorandum of understanding opens up a strategic approach and opportunities for the two sides to cooperate in many fields. ADB will accompany Binh Duong province in achieving sustainable development goals and responding to climate change.
