Binh Duong still achieves positive growth amid Covid-19

Early January 14, provincial People's Committee held a press conference on the local economic situation, social welfare in 2021 and Covid-19 prevention and control on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022, which was chaired and attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for  Propaganda and Education. 

In 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out strongly, negatively affecting all aspects of the province's socio-economic life. With the efforts by departments, agencies and local authorities, up to now, most activities in the province have been recovered in the direction of safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of Covid-19. The province’s socio-economic situation in 2021 achieved some positive and encouraging results in the context of Covid-19 prevention-control and economic development. There were 21 out of 32 main targets achieving and exceeding the plan. The province has paid special importance to social welfare, Covid-19 prevention and control during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022. The province's total estimated budget to support the Tet festival 2022 is more than VND229.2billion, an increase of 7% compared to 2021, ensuring that all people have a joyful Tet. As of now, the whole province has had 2,117 enterprises registering Tet bonuses for their employees. The highest Tet bonus is VND 627 million and  the lowest level is VND 4.42 million.

At the press conference, representatives of media agencies raised many issues concerned by the local people and workers... All of the above issues were explained by leaders of the province, departments and sectors as well as being recorded by them for timely solution  in the coming time.
