Binh Duong strives to win 5 gold medals at national junior taekwondo tournament

The 2016 National Junior Taekwondo Tournament hosted by the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho began its first competition day yesterday, July 7.

At the tournament, Binh Duong’s sports delegation includes 40 athletes competing in 40 individual weight categories and 4 team ones. The goal of the delegation is to grasp 5 gold medals at the tournament.

This year’s tournament has absorbed around 700 athletes from 39 provinces and cities nationwide. They will compete for more than 100 sets of medals in performance and combat events in 4 age groups: under 12, 12-14, 15-17 and 18-20. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on July 13 ahead.
