Binh Duong supports Lao Cai with VND 10 billion and tens of tons of goods

On the afternoon of September 16, a delegation from Binh Duong province, led by Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Head of provincial Relief Mobilization Committee, visited Lao Cai province and offered aid to those affected by Yagi typhoon. Accompanying him were leaders from several units and businesses in Binh Duong province.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Danh expressed deep sympathy for the losses, damage, and difficulties that Lao Cai province is facing, due to Yagi typhoon. He affirmed that Lao Cai and Binh Duong are 2 twinned provinces, with a strong and deep relationship cultivated and strengthened over generations by officials and residents through various activities.

After hearing the news that the northern provinces and cities suffered heavy losses, due to Yagi typhoon, Binh Duong provincial Party Committee directed provincial Relief Mobilization Committee to launch a broad campaign among officials, Party members, residents and businesses in the province to join hands in contributing money and goods to support people, including those in Lao Cai province.

To promptly assist the people of La Cai affected by the natural disaster, the delegation presented VND 10 billion (from the province's relief fund, including VND 5 billion from Becamex IDC. In addition, Binh Dương provided the people of Lao Cai with 50 tons of necessities, including 20 tons contributed by provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Red Cross, other mass organizations and 30 tons of rice donated by Kim Oanh Group.

The delegation also visited and offered gifts to encourage storm and flood-hit people who are currently being treated at Lao Cai provincial General Hospital.
