After 9 days of competition, the high quality Chinese chess tournament came into an end with totally VND 150 million worth awards. The VND-60-million first prize was awarded to Nguyen Thanh Bao – a chess player from Ha Noi who defeated his oponent Nguyen Hoang Lam in the final round. Binh Duong chess player Bui Duong Tran successfully turned down Tran Van Ninh from Da Nang to win bronze medal. Meanwhile, in female category, chess player Ngo Lan Huong maintained ‘queen’ title of Ho Chi Minh City team afer defeating Nguyen Hoang Yen of the same team.
