Binh Duong Television Station – reaching for higher ends

October 2 marks the 35th anniversary of Binh Duong Television. In 35 years of development, Binh Duong Television Station has been grown up into a active information channel broadcasting provincial events to meet up with expectations of the Party, authority and people in the province. Up to date, Binh Duong Television is worthy of the voice of local Party, authority, and people. Binh Duong Television Station did a good job by becoming one of the best broadcasting stations at provincial level in the region. Non-stop reforms of technology has earned the most worthy grants. In 1991, innovations of the broadcasting system were marked by the construction of a transist station to connect television signals to Ba Ra mountain servicing the once considered “white-out” of information. Reporters and editors are working on a program in technical house By September 2, 1994, Song Be Television Station was upgraded with a 108-m antenna to cover radio and television broadcast from Thu Dau Mot. By then, Song Be Television became a brandname of regional viewers and listeners of the province and Dong Nam Bo. In 1997, Song Be Province was splitted up into Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc; however, Binh Duong Television was expanded on a modern system of broadcasting which was shifted from analogue to digital. Mr. Do Van Trung, Director of Binh Duong Television Station informed that the station was currently broadcasting television channels of BTV1, BTV2, BTV3, BTV4, and BTV5, one FM radio channel, BTV Magazine, and its website at www.btv.org.vn working 18 to 24/7. With over 80 radio and 120 television programs, Binh Duong Television Station is now proud to be a local station with various and diversified self-produced programs. The achievements are thanked to the care and leadership of local Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and supports of sectors, agencies, unions, and localities together with non-stop efforts of the staffs, ediditors, reporters, and technicians. In 35 years, Binh Duong Television Station have been transformed in terms of brand name and organization. Currently, in the staff of 367 personnels in 15 departments and 3 subsidiary units, 11 are qualified as M.A’s, 256 as university graduates, 27 as college graduates, and 69 as technical training graduates. The organization of Party cells, Labor Unions, Youth’s League, and support of Journalists Association have helped to develop Binh Duong Television Station into a thorough unit. Evaluating the 35 years of development under leadership of the Party Committee, authority, sectors, and the people, Binh Duong Television Station has grown up to service information broadcasting and communication in all aspects of social life. Program contents are improved constantly in quality to broadcast guidelines and policies of the Party and the State with in-depth grasp-up of resolutions of the 11th National Party Congress and the 9th Provincial Party Congress, the 4th and 5th Plenum Resolution of Central Committee of CPV and Directive No. 03 of Politburo. For the time to come, Binh Duong Television Station will be constructed with modern equipments and it is expected that by 2016, the constructions of film-making venue and sound broadcasting house will come into operation after being constructed by 2013. Currently, the project of establishing a multimedia communication company is on the way to offer multimedia connection, digital broadcasting, and producing television programs.
