Binh Duong tightens solidarity, friendship with Champasac and Kratie

Leaders of Binh Duong province have just received two high-ranking delegations from Laos’Champasac province and Cambodia’s Kratie province. In addition to boosting the solidarity and friendly relations between the sides’ governments and people, many cooperative agreements for mutual socio-economic development were also signed.

 Cooperative contents with Champasac

 Leaders of Binh Duong and Champasac signed a nine-point cooperation agreement during a Vietnam visit by a high-level delegation from Champasak province, led by its Party Secretary and Governor, Sonsay Siphandone.

 The two sides also signed a nine-point cooperation agreement. Under the deal, they will join hands to implement the project of porcelain and building material development in Champasac province’s Sa Na Som Bun district. Champasac will also further survey and suggest the local authorities to hand over land to Dau Tieng Viet-Lao Rubber Joint Stock Company to set up the project of growing 10,000 ha of rubber tree; make favorable conditions for the company to build its rubber latex-processing plant in Bachieng district by 2012.

 Binh Duong will further help train Champasac’s students; support Champasac’s retired high ranking officials to enjoy short-term tours to Vietnam for tourism and convalescence; assist Champasac to make modern industrial development policies, promote its development of industrial parks…

 Mai The Trung, member of the Central Party Committee, secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee hoped that this visit would help tighten the solidarity and friendship between the two provinces’ people. He added that the two sides informed each other of the success of their Party congresses as well as the situation of their socio-economic development in a spirit of mutual respect, cooperation and understanding. This was also an important premise for the two sides’ long-lasting cooperation.

 Binh Duong, Kratie tightens friendship

 Provincial Party Committee Standing Vice Secretary cum provincial People’s Council Chairman Vu Minh Sang and representatives of sectors and agencies in the province has also received a high-ranking delegation from the Cambodian province of Kratie, headed by Nu Phong, member of the Cambodian People’s Party Central, Chief of Kratie provincial Council.

 Mr.Sang hoped that Kratie province would obtain better growth in the future, due to its policies on investment attraction. He also sent sympathy to Kratie over the last market fire while hoping that this visit would help the two sides promote trade and investment cooperation.

 The delegation also made fact-finding tours of Lac Canh Dai Nam Van Hien Tourist Complex, VSIP II, My Phuoc Industrial Zone and Binh Duong new city; enjoyed an art performance with songs in praise of the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship relations.

 During the visit, Mr.Nu Phuong expressed his profound thanks to the leaders and people of Binh Duong for their nice sentiments to the people of Kratie while hoping that the two localities would further boost solidarity and cooperation in the future.
