Binh Duong tops 2014 provincial Open Judo Tournament

The 2014 Binh Duong provincial Open Judo Tournament officially concluded at provincial Sporting Event Hall on the afternoon of July 27.

As a result, Binh Duong’s Judo team excellently topped the tournament with five gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals (photo). It was followed by the Army with four gold medals, three silver medals, four bronze medals and Ba Ria-Vung Tau 1 with three gold medals, two silver medals and five bronze medals, respectively.

This year’s tournament absorbed nearly 200 athletes from 11 Judo clubs in provinces and cities nationwide. They competed for 22 sets of medals in individual and team events for both men and women.

The tournament aimed to assess and promote the Judo movement of the province, thereby sorting out the best athletes for provincial Judo team to attend the 2014 National Sports Festival.
