Binh Duong University for Technology and Economics set up

On Sept. 21, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan decided to establish Binh Duong University for Technology and Economics. The establishment is upgraded from Binh Duong College for Technology and Economics. The university will be run according to regulations of a private one. Phuong Thuy vocational training school was the former unit of the newly-established university.

In 1999, Phuong Thuy School was allowed to become Binh Duong intermediate school for Technology-Economics and four years later, it became a college.

So far, the entire province has had 15 universities, colleges and 5 intermediate schools, contributing to meet demand for local industrialization and modernization.
