Binh Duong wins 2 gold medals at 2015 southeastern Xiangqi tournament

Tran Thanh Tung, Main Coach of provincial Chinese chess team said that Binh Duong won 2 gold medals at the 2015 Southeastern Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) Tournament, which is taking place in Binh Phuoc province.

Particularly, Lai Ly Huynh grasped a gold medal in the men’s individual blitz category. The remaining gold medal was pocketed by Binh Duong in the team category.

With the above result, Binh Duong now leads the tournament, which is still ongoing with the final games of the team and individual traditional chess categories.

This year’s tournament has absorbed 48 chess players from 7 provinces and cities in the southeastern region. Among them, there are 5 from Binh Duong, namely Lai Ly Huynh, Uong Duong Bac, Diep Khai Hang, Tran Quoc Viet and To Thien Tuong. The tournament will conclude on Dec.20 ahead.
