Binh Duong writers, artists with many aspirations in early year

With love and passion for creation, Binh Duong writers and artists have quickly adapted in their literary and artistic composition and got more thriving in the state of "safe, flexible and effective adaptation to Covid-19 pandemic". Having the opportunity to talk with artists and writers on the occasion of the New Year 2023, we have appreciated the enthusiastic spirit of art creation, new ideas and expectations, contributing to promoting "Binh Duong’s land and people" with friends everywhere.

Many outstanding achievements

Last year, provincial Literature and Arts Association successfully organized traditional playgrounds, attracting a large number of artists and writers, with an increasing number of works and increasing quality. Noticeably, the "Land and people of Binh Duong” contest 2022 for literary, musical and theater genres attracted 183 works from 66 authors. As a result, the organizing board of the contest awarded 44 prizes to works in terms of prose, poetry, music and theater. At the second Southeast short story contest 2022, author Luu Thanh Tuu from Binh Duong won a consolation prize. Also in 2022, poet Le Minh Vu was admitted to the Vietnamese Writers' Association.

Along with that, the Binh Duong Fine Arts Competition 2022 with the theme of "Binh Duong on the way to development" lured 26 authors with 40 works, including 11 winning works. Provincial Literature and Arts Association also deployed and created conditions for members to attend the 27th Southeast Region VII Fine Arts Exhibition 2022 in Binh Phuoc province, drawing 33 works by 26 authors who are central and local members. The famous artists of Binh Duong also sent their works to the exhibition… As a result, Binh Duong won 1 B prize, 1 consolation prize and 3 authors were introduced to the Award of the Union of Arts and Literature Associations of Vietnam. Among the 3 works introduced, 1 work won the Union's consolation prize.

The 11th photography contest with the theme of "Binh Duong on the way to development" in 2022 was also successfully organized by the association. There were 30 photographers with 614 entries, of which 11 won prizes. Photographers continued to attend the 29th Southeast Regional Art Photo Festival in 2022 in Binh Thuan and won 1 silver, 1 bronze and 1 consolation prize…

Many aspirations in early year

Impressive achievements last year are the catalyst for Binh Duong writers and artists to continue enthusiastically creating art works and having many new aspirations in 2023.

Talking to us, author Nguyen Minh Ngoc Ha said that being excited by the results in the past year, writers are getting a lot of inspiration to compose poetry, literature, short stories... To promote the emotions of authors, the Literature Association branch will further carry out such professional activities as organizing Vietnam Poetry Day - Nguyen Tieu (first full moon of the lunar New Year) 2023, organizing composition camps in and out of the province, organizing poetry-music programs to introduce new works, organizing training courses for members, advising on organizing the school poetry and young composition competition 2023, advising on publishing 1-2 members' works…

Meanwhile, People's Artist Thu Hong said that with the new spirit of excitement, the Theater Association branch has set up many new plans in preserving and promoting the artistic value of “Don Ca Tai Tu” (southern folk opera). The branch will work with provincial Literature and Arts Association to open more training classes on “Don Ca Tai Tu” to help members review old items and practice the new ones to be able to serve local programs and participate in playgrounds, exchange with other provinces and cities.

2023 is the pivotal year to implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th provincial Party Congress with many major programs, plans and projects of the province, opening up new opportunities for breakthroughs of Binh Duong. Facing the new requirements and goals of the province, musician Pham Dac Hien, Chairman of provincial Literature and Arts Association said with the motto of "Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Responsibility" that the Resolution of the 8^th Congress of provincial provincial Literature and Arts Association for the 2022-2027 tenure has been set out, it is hoped that writers and artists will increasingly uphold their own artistic creative inspiration, creating more high-quality works, thereby contributing to promoting the image of "the land and people of Binh Duong".

In 2022, Binh Duong had 3 theater artists awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the State President and 1 Meritorious Artist honored by the Vietnam Theater Artists Association for great contributions to the development of Vietnamese theater art.
