Binh Duong young tennis players become mature

After Ly Hoang Nam, the No. 1 tennis player in Vietnam, Binh Duong still owns two impressive and high-performing names, Nguyen Van Phuong and Tu Le Khanh Duy. These are two faces that are expected to follow the success of Ly Hoang Nam.

After a series of successful tournaments, as well as encountering some unexpected failures, the current youngest player in Vietnam, Nguyen Van Phuong, participated in the Wimbledon Grand Slam in England. The player got impressive performance after surpassing England's Finn Murgett (313th of the world) in the first match. Shortly thereafter, Van Phuong continued to defeat his French rival Loris Pouroy in the second match of qualifying round, thereby winning a ticket to the official round of men's singles at Wimbledon Grand Slam youth tennis 2019.

Entering the official round, Van Phuong was unfortunate to face Nakashima Brandon of America (7th). 18-year-old young talent of Vietnam tennis played quite impressively, drastically, causing difficulties for his rival, but could not create any surprises. In the first time playing on Wimbledon grounds, Van Phuong was a little overwhelmed. The Bac Giang-native player was quite slowly, while Nakashima Brandon played very confidently, promoted his strong points, and quickly won this match with score 2-0.

After the failure in Wimbledon Grand Slam men's singles men's singles 2019, Binh Duong players will participate in men's doubles. Van Phuong will be paired with Kevin Chahoud of Sweden to confront Paulson (Philippines) / Vanshelboim (Ukraine) in the first round. At the end of this tournament, Van Phuong will step into professional tournaments. With great progress in recent times, Van Phuong is expected to follow Ly Hoang Nam's successes in the nearest future. However, to step up onto glory, Van Phuong needs to overcome some weaknesses such as preparing carefully upcoming matches from start-up, psychological stability. Then, Van Phuong would go further in the future.

Besides Van Phuong, Binh Duong tennis currently owns another name that has also played quite impressively, it is the young player Tu Le Khanh Duy. This 17-year-old tennis player has just won the ticket to the U18 ITF tennis tournament, after winning Malaysia's No. 7 seed - Takeshi Koey - with a score of 2-1 (6-2, 4-6, 6-1). Earlier, at PTT international youth tennis tournament in Thailand, Khanh Duy also excellently won tickets to the official round.

It can be said that after Ly Hoang Nam, Binh Duong tennis is now getting a good and solid inheritors. Names like Nguyen Van Phuong, Tu Le Khanh Duy ... are the nucleus for the purpose of reaffirming their position in the national tennis. If they are able to keep their current high performance, Binh Duong tennis in a near future will return to its leading position.
