The Youth Singing Contest themed "Binh Duong Youth Proudly Moving Forward" features 21 entries. Contestants delivered impressive performances reflecting their deep love for their homeland and Vietnamese people, songs praising the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, the great President Ho Chi Minh, love for the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, as well as the aspirations of youth...
In the contest performances, contestants focused on song content, performance techniques, and costume choices. Many of them also incorporated special dance segments into their acts. Despite their demanding jobs, many young workers have registered to participate in the contest. They see it as an opportunity to experience performing on stage, enhance their singing skills, and connect with others, making new friends in the process.
Pham Thi Thuy Linh, a young worker of Chi Hung Company Limited (Tan Uyen City), the first prize winner of the contest, said: “I learned about the contest by chance when a friend sent me the registration link. I signed up to gain more singing experience. During the competition, I witnessed many talented singers, and I honestly didn't expect to win a high prize, so I was very happy with the outcome. I hope there will be more competitions like this so that young people can explore various activities that align with their interests and strengths."
As the company's artist, Thuy Linh has previously won many awards in competitions, most recently winning first prize at the 2024 Youth Singing Contest; third prize for solo singing and the contestant with the most impressive performance style at the 2024 Labor Singing Contest.
In addition to the Youth Singing Contest, the other two competitions also attracted many members of youth unions, associations, and young workers. The modern dance competition "Youth Dance" created a cheerful and dynamic atmosphere, showcasing lively performances with eye-catching costumes. In contrast, the "Pink Dance" festival offered a serene experience, featuring graceful and artistic movements. Both events not only highlight the talents of dancers but also promote a love for the performing arts across different age groups.
Mr. Thai Kien Thuan, Vice President of the Provincial Youth Union, Director of the Provincial Youth Activity Center, said: “The competitions are organized to foster a healthy cultural and artistic environment that meets the needs of young union members who wish to express their singing talents. These events facilitate exchange, learning, and sharing of experiences, contributing to education and the development of artistic aesthetics; aim to promote cultural and artistic movements among young union members and to discover and encourage talented individuals who are passionate about cultural and artistic activities. Additionally, these activities seek to fulfill the interests and entertainment needs of union members, association members, and young workers. The contests serve not only as a platform to honor young talents but also as an opportunity for them to connect, learn, and showcase their abilities."
