Binh Duong youths bound for homeland seas and islands

Binh Duong provincial Youth Union just held a press conference to introduce contents of the 2014 program of “Binh Duong youths bound for homeland seas and islands”.

Youths and unionists join in the program of "Thousands of hearts bound for homeland seas and islands".

Accordingly, the program expectedly attracts about 20,000 unionists and members and teenagers and local people from Oct. 18, 2014 to Jan 15, 2015.

Bounding for the homeland seas and islands, Binh Duong youths will implement concrete activities such as campaign of Binh Duong spends love for seas and islands” including dissemination activities on mass media, distributing 20,000 dissemination leaflets of seas and islands, equipping over 100 propaganda postcards on seas and islands along to key routes in the province.

Especially, the provincial youth union holds the program of “Thousands of hearts eye to homeland seas and islands”, take portrait photos with the participation of 10,000 people who are leaders, youths, unionists, children and local people to join into a map of Vietnam with the height of 6 meters and width of 4 meters.

Besides, the program of “Thousands of ceramic dishes send thousands of love” will also be implemented through painting pictures on 1,000 dishes to grant to soldiers working at border and marine areas; display and sell keepsakes to raise fund named “Nghia tinh bien gioi hai dao”.

The highlighted activity includes the exhibition of “Binh Duong land and people eye homeland seas and islands”. The program is to display photos, legal proofs, ancient maps, dissemination documents relating to love of homeland and seas and islands at the provincial Integrated Administration Center from Nov. 29 to Dec. 9.

In addition, the festive day of Binh Duong youths eye homeland seas and islands” is also a significant activity with the participation of more than 20,000 people with contents such as collective dance, music show and so on.

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, secretary of the provincial Youth Union cum vice head of the organizing board of the program said that to gather and unite and implement dissemination work on patriotism and sea and island love, the provincial Youth Union over the past time holds many programs showing care for youths and unionists and laborers through gift visits, supportive funds, weekend playgrounds, market-days, free health check-up and treatment and more. Aside from these activities, the provincial Youth Union focuses on orientation and education for youths, unionists and young workers through dissemination forms of increasing articles of homeland seas and islands, distributing 10,000 newspapers/week for young workers, combining dissemination contents on seas and islands at meetings.

As for the program of “Binh Duong youths eye to homeland seas and islands”, young workers and many businesses show their patriotism by subscribing for the fund of “Nghia tinh bien gioi hai dao”. As a result, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee received more than VND 9bil from businesses, young workers and people. Accordingly, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee will spend VND1.2bil to marine police force and fishermen. In addition, the program of “Thousands of hearts of Binh Duong people bound for seas and islands” attracts numerous participation local leaders, youths, unionists and people.

In the coming time, the provincial Youth Union will continue to cooperate with the local department of Education and Training to spur organization of out-door activities, journeys to historic museums and more in a bid to inspire patriotism for children to paint 1,000 ceramic dishes themed love for seas and islands.

These products will be sent to soldiers in border and marine areas and displayed and sold to raise funds, added Trang.

Apart from the program of Binh Duong youths bound for homeland seas and islands, the provincial youth union held many activities such as signing twin deal with Phu Giao district of Binh Thuan province, paying gift visits and offering free health check-up and medicines for fishermen, marine force on the island district.

Moreover, the youth union strengthened dissemination on seas and islands on mass media, constantly launched programs and youth works, camping festivals with the theme of seas and islands.
