In the early morning of Feb. 8, districts of Dau Tieng, Ben Cat, Phu Giao and Di An town became crowded by tens of thousands of people joining in the enlistment festival.

Dau Tieng: More than 200 elite youths eagerly joined in the army to defend the country. Right early morning, 215 recruits in uniforms and thousands of people arrived at Dau Tieng Rubber Company’s stadium to say goodbye together.

Recruit Nguyen Thanh Son in Dinh An commune, Dau Tieng district, said “I’m very proud of enlisting the army. We pledge to fulfill all entrusted tasks and to deserve as Uncle Ho’s soldiers”.

Lieutenant-colonel Tran Anh Tuan, head of Dau Tieng district Military Headquarters said that knowledge of local recruits in this year is higher the previous years.

At the festival, Dau Tieng district People’s Committee chairman Nguyen Manh Hong congratulated recruits and hoped that they would complete the entrusted tasks.

Phu Giao: Attending the enlistment festival were Major-general Phung The Quang, vice commander of Military Zone 7, Major-general Van Cong Danh, chief of the provincial Military Headquarters, Tran Thi Kim Van, vice chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council and Phu Giao district leaders.

In this year, Phu Giao district has 155 recruits, 90 of whom voluntarily join in the army. The recruits will be trained by units of Regiment 87/HH, Regiment 429, the provincial Military Headquarters and Military Zone 7.

Female recruit Dao Thi Hoang Oanh and 4 other female recruits who voluntarily join in the army, said “We pledge to complete the entrusted tasks”.

Possibly speaking, the 1st enlistment work 2012 ensured quota and quality. The result affirmed that local promulgation work were implemented well and showed that youths’ awareness on military service is improved.

Ben Cat: As many as 265 recruits join in the army in the 1st period of the 2012 enlistment festival. The recruits will be trained by units of Infantry Division 9, Regiment 271, Division 5, Battalion 180, Sapper 429, and the provincial Military Headquarters and so on.

In this year, recruits’ knowledge is improved significantly with over 26% of recruits graduating from high schools and 3.9% graduating from universities and colleges.

Di An town: Attending the enlistment festival were the provincial Education and Propaganda Committee head Nguyen Minh Giao; Colonel Truong Binh Long, vice political commissar of the provincial Military Headquarters and Colonel Nguyen Van Hai, vice head of the provincial Military Headquarters.

The town in this year has 215 youths joining in the army to defend the country. The recruits will be trained by units of Division 302, local Military School, Battalion 180, Brigade 71, Sapper 429 and so on.
