Binh Hoa ward is one of Thuan An town’s major localities in socio-economic development. Currently, the ward boosts trade-services and urban development, contributing to bringing it the image of a modern city.

Trade-services on sharp growth

Binh Hoa ward is now home to Dong Nai industrial park and part of Vietnam-Singapore industrial park. Over the past time, the two industrial parks absorbed a large number of immigrant laborers, facilitating the local lodging business. The whole ward now has a total of 2,890 lodging facilities with 33,959 rooms, attracting more than 51,300 lodgers together with 213 business facilities; 7 traditional markets, plazas; 37 hotels, motels and 10 restaurants.

The ward has also reached vigorous development in a model of trading in ornamental plants. Many local households have got rich from this business model. Tran Thi Kim Phung, the owner of “Vuon Xanh 2” ornamental plant shop said that her family has got involved in ornament plant business for more than 10 years. On average, her family can earn nearly VND20million from this business model every month.

Ngo Trong Nghia, Chairman of Binh Hoa ward’s People’s Committee said that over the past time, the ward’s economic structure was developed towards industry-trade-services-home industry and agriculture. Trade-services are now a spearheading sector of the ward. In terms of lodging business, lodging facilities in the ward have got more and more spacious to well serve the demand of lodgers. The ward will also bend on upgrading markets and supermarkets at the increasing demand of locals.

Additionally, the ward has attached special importance to eradicating street markets. The ward will further inspect and opportunely handle wrong cases in production and business in the coming time, aiming to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of locals as well as their health.

Towards a civilized and modern city

Under a policy of “State and people work together”, most streets and alleys in the ward have been covered by asphalt. In 2016 alone, locals contributed VND900million to upgrading Binh Hoa 13 street, making 10 streets in Binh Dang quarter’s residential area 434 with a total length of 1,140 meters…The ward’s traffic infrastructure system is very synchronous, facilitating the traveling and goods transport of locals.

The ward has set up a plan to disseminate and deal with cases of pavement encroachment on roads in order to boost urban development. Initially, the ward will implement this task on 3 major streets, including DT743 street with the section from Ong Bo bridge to crossroads 550, provincial street 43 and Nguyen Du street.

Regarding rejuvenation in residential areas, the ward regularly carried out inspection tours on traffic safety, urban order and construction management over the past time. The ward will also continue coordinating with the Divisions of Natural Resources-Environment, Urban Management to inspect illegal residential areas while asking for their investors to pledge to perfect all technical infrastructure items as stipulated.

Binh Hoa is striving to become a ward meeting civilized urban standards. It is hoped that achievements done over the past time plus solutions on socio-economic and urban development in the coming time will create advantageous conditions for the ward to fulfill the set plan.
