Blood donation campaign in Bau Bang exceeds the assigned target for the year

Bau Bang District Red Cross Society - Standing Committee of the District Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, has coordinated with Cho Ray Hospital Blood Transfusion Center (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the fifth voluntary blood donation campaign in 2024. This blood donation campaign attracted 270 volunteers (photo).

With the message “Donate blood regularly for a healthier world”, the Bau Bang District Red Cross Society calls on people with good health conditions to donate blood, thereby raising the sense of responsibility of the blood donor community and creating a positive influence on people in health care and disease prevention awareness, especially diseases transmitted through blood transfusion to protect themselves and to donate blood safely. From the noble meaning of donating blood to save lives, this blood donation campaign attracted 270 volunteers to register to participate. Through health screening, 223 people were eligible to donate blood, each person donated a unit of 350ml.

Since the beginning of the year, through communication and mobilization, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Bau Bang district has coordinated to receive 1,793/1,600 units of blood (reaching 112%), exceeding the assigned target for the year.
