Blood donation festival absorbs nearly 500 participants

Provincial Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation, on June 10, held a voluntary blood donation festival on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day while launching a campaign of “Pink drops of blood” in 2017.

At the festival, the Steering Board honored outstanding individuals in blood donation and mobilization, contributing to saving hundreds of patients. The festival absorbed around 500 participants, comprising of officials, civil servants and people from all strata, with 387 units of blood given.

On this occasion, the organizers and donors also presented 100 gifts to the poor and the disabled.
