For 25 years of construction and development, Binh Duong province has achieved important achievements in socio-economic fields, being a bright spot in the southern key economic region. These achievements have come from the efforts by the province in the implementation of many breakthrough programs, mobilizing resources to promote economic development, creating a very spectacular leap, especially in the industrial and urban fields...

To match the new development process that is more sustainable and in line with the global trend, in recent years, Binh Duong has been moving towards building a smart city, opening up many new opportunities, creating a breakthrough in the local economic development in the coming time. Binh Duong is also planning urban traffic, applying urban development models under the orientation of public transport; making orientation to attract development in all aspects of social life, gradually increasing the proportion of the digital economy... Currently, after 25 years of construction and development, Binh Duong's average income per capita has doubled the level of the whole country. Thanks to the right guidelines, orientations, creative and flexible ways, the province’s investment attraction in recent years has achieved quite impressive results.

To achieve results today, besides the local advantages, Binh Duong has also faced many difficulties, especially in terms of traffic infrastructure and human resources. This requires an innovative spirit, daring think, knowing how to do. Despite having a favorable geographical position in the southern key economic region, Binh Duong, with a low starting point compared to neighboring localities, does not have a seaport or airport, which is also a difficulty in the process of development. However, with a strategic vision, the province has created many breakthrough programs to create the motivation for the local development. In particular, Binh Duong is a locality that has early deployed the construction of a smart city, hosted a series of international conferences and forums, actively participated in the world’s prestigious organizations such as the International Economic Forum (ICF), the World Technopolis Association (WTA), the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). For two consecutive years from 2018 to 2019, Binh Duong Smart Zone was honored by the ICF as one of 21 regions with the world’s typical smart city development strategies. Recently, Binh Duong has continued signing a cooperation agreement with Warburg Pincus Corporation of the U.S to build cross-border e-commerce, a project of great significance for the development of Binh Duong smart city... All have demonstrated the strong development of Binh Duong in the coming years...

With the spirit of dynamism and creativity, Binh Duong’s Party, government and people made great efforts to overcome many difficulties over the years. The local achievements today are the important premise, creating a new position and force for Binh Duong to stand firmly and continue advancing rapidly on the way of industrialization and modernization...
