Breakthrough works

To create a breakthrough for Binh Duong urban development in the coming period, a well-prepared program is ratified by relevant agencies. Of this, in the 2011-2015 period key works will be focused on.

In a series of key projects and works to turn Binh Duong into first class urban area, the provincial People’s Committee selects the most important works for priority. They include Binh Duong 2 Avenue from Kha Van Can of HCMC to DT743 to Binh Phuoc province, DT747B via Khanh Binh-Hoi Nghia-Cong Xanh route, route to hub of Binh Duong concentrated administration and politics center, project along Sai Gon river, preparation for investment procedures of Binh Duong Avenue 1 elevated road.

According to Huynh Van Minh, vice director of the provincial Construction Department, development of Binh Duong urban area is attached to neighboring provinces. In reality, Binh Duong 1 Avenue is a life-line route, so it is necessary to have Binh Duong 2 Avenue and elevated route to make breakthrough for Binh Duong in the next 15 years.

Aside from traffic system, other important works are also focused on. They include 3 social housing projects at Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An and Di An. Another social housing project invested by Becamex IDC is aiming at building 50,000 apartments, offering accommodation for 127,000 workers and low incomers by 2015. Accordingly, Becamex IDC will spend over 306,478sqm to build first apartment blocks to contribute to local urban development.

In addition, other key projects of Go Cat area, Goucoland Charmplaza, Becamex City Center, Tan Ba port… are under completion.

The mentioned key works will help make up a driving force for local socio-economic development to turn the locality into first class urban area by 2020.
