In order to share difficulties with poor patients who have to stay at hospitals for treatment during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023, provincial Social Insurance Agency has organized a delegation to visit and offer Tet gifts to patients who are being treated in a number of hospitals in the province. This activity has practical significance, showing the attention of society for patients, helping them get more motivation to overcome diseases and quickly return to the normal life.
Multiplying the joy of celebrating Tet
Accompanying provincial Social Insurance Agency’s delegation to visit and give Tet gifts for patients in some medical facilities in the province, we were really touched when witnessing the joy of patients receiving meaningful Tet gifts. As one of the poor being treated at provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital, Van Thi Gai, born in 1960 in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune was very excited when receiving Tet gifts from provincial Social Insurance Agency. She said: “Knowing that there is a delegation of leaders of provincial Social Insurance Agency and the hospital to visit and give Tet gifts, I feel very happy. I thank leaders of provincial Social Insurance Agency for taking care of me and those with difficult circumstances so that we can enjoy a warm Tet.”

Accordingly, the delegation gave 30, 5 and 5 Tet gifts worth VND1million each for poor patients at provincial General Hospital, Traditional Medicine Hospital and Private General Hospital, respectively.
“In order to uphold the fine cultural tradition of the nation, mobilize the support of civil servants, officials and workers in the sector, we have also mobilized contributions by the society and businesses in order to bring a warm Tet to the poor. Giving gifts for patients participating in health insurance with difficult circumstances who have to stay at some hospitals for treatment during the Tet holiday is seen as provincial Social Insurance Agency’s practical support for people with difficult circumstances in the province", said Mrs. Ly.
Sharing difficulties with people with difficult circumstances
The movement of "Warm Tet to the poor" launched by provincial Social Insurance Agency has aroused the compassionate tradition of the nation, joining hands with authorities and mass organizations to take care of people with difficult circumstances, especially patients who have to stay at hospitals for treatment during the Tet holiday.
Accompanying the delegation, Tran Ngoc Hien, CEO of Binh Duong Medic General Hospital said that although being small, these gifts had many spiritual values, encouraging poor patients being treated at some hospitals in the province. The result of the humanitarian power connecting loving hearts is always the bright and happy smiles of both givers and receivers.
Sharing with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital cum Director of provincial General Hospital, Ms. Le Minh Ly added that with the sense of responsibility of the agency assigned by the State to implement the local health insurance policy as well as the responsibilities of all-level authorities, departments, agencies and hospitals in implementing this policy, participating in the local cause of public healthcare, leaders of provincial Social Insurance Agency also wanted that provincial General Hospital will further accompany the unit in healthcare for patients with health insurance.
“The gifts directly given by provincial Social Insurance Agency will be the spiritual medicine for patients and their families, thereby feeling the sharing and attention of the society to not only have more motivation to overcome diseases, but also spread the "mutual love" spirit of the nation. Currently, many poor people with health insurance with difficult circumstances are suffering from serious diseases under long treatment at the hospital. Therefore, there is nothing more precious than having words of encouragement, and gifts full of meaning and humanity. Or in other words, that is the traditional beauty of the Vietnamese people to patients being treated at the hospital”, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu.
