Update: 11-09-2023 | 14:34:00

After two matches in the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers, striker Bui Vi Hao of Becamex Binh Duong scored two goals for U23 Vietnam. Notably, the two goals were both very important to help the home team end the match with victories over U23 Guam and Yemen, thereby securing the ticket to Qatar next year.

Among the strikers brought by coach Philippe Troussier to the 2024 Asian U23 qualifiers, Bui Vi Hao is ranked only behind striker Van Tung. The impressive brilliance of the Hanoi striker at SEA Games 32 helped Van Tung score almost absolute points in the choice of the French strategist. And of course, Bui Vi Hao is just waiting for the opportunity to come onto the field from the bench.

But as many people would say that Becamex Binh Duong's striker is a class and talented reserve. It í because every time coach Philippe Troussier puts him on the field, Bui Vi Hao, one way or another, knows how to leave his mark. In U23 Vietnam's 6-star victory over U23 Guam, the striker wearing shirt number 11 was the one who scored the final goal to seal the home team's 6-0 victory on the opening day. More impressively, when faced with an unpleasant opponent like U23 Yemen in the match that decided the ticket to Qatar, it was Bui Vi Hao who scored the goal to seal a 1-0 victory, helping the home team take the sure ticket to the 2024 U23 Asian finals.

At Becamex Binh Duong last season, when the attack was quite cramped with the presence of senior Tien Linh and foreign striker Rimario, Vi Hao had no place to play in the attack and had to play on the wing, making him no longer available as himself and was often replaced midway. When he joined U23 Vietnam and returned to a place where he could develop his scoring abilities, the An Giang-born striker showed his value which is the place for Bui Vi Hao to truly be himself.

With his own efforts to assert his value, at the U23 Vietnam level, Bui Vi Hao deserved a better starting position. Of course, he still has to work harder and try harder; however, for a player playing on the offensive line like Vi Hao, the fate of scoring every time he is put on the field is the highlight and the motivation for the striker of the Thu Dau Mot football team to take the next steps firmly on his career path.

At the U23 Southeast Asia finals at the end of August, in the championship of coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team, Bui Vi Hao also scored 2 goals and contributed a lot to the championship of the home team against Thailand.
